I forgot how steamy Hazelwood's books are, and Bride and its interspecies love is no exception. For me, there was a little bit of excessive detail in some of the racy moments, and the copious page time spent on sex scenes --which eventually seemed to take on a life of their own--meant that we lost some of the focus on wonderfully witty banter and the intriguing plot that hooked me so strongly in the first half of the book.
I listened to Bride as an audiobook. Ali Hazelwood is also the author of Love, Theoretically and other books.
